Bowel Testing (www.boweltesting.com) has been created with input from high profile clinicians working within colorectal surgery and gastroenterology both within the NHS and private medicine. 

The service seeks to enable those who are concerned about the risk of serious bowel disease to access relevant diagnostic testing. Where tests do reveal the possibility of disease we seek to counsel patients and either refer them back to their general practitioner or forwards on to accredited specialists if that should be desired.

Boweltesting.com offers access to the same stool test that is used by the NHS for bowel cancer screening. Many patients are not however eligible for NHS screening (e.g. not reached the age limit) or are concerned about heightened personal risk (due to family history or symptoms) and wish for the extra assurance that bowel cancer FIT testing provides. 

An elevated FIT level does not necessarily mean that a patient has cancer but does usually mean that further investigation is necessary. Our clinical team will help guide patients and refer on to local accredited specialists for further investigation if that is desired.
