STEP 1 – FILL OUT THE QUESTIONNAIRE

To begin the process we ask that you fill out our online questionnaire below. One of our Patient Advisors may assist you with this if required.

One of our team will then be in contact to collect payment and send out your home testing kit.

STEP 2 – COLLECTING AND SENDING A SAMPLE

You will receive your FIT stool test to your registered address. There are instructions regarding how to collect a sample within the test kit that you will receive. Once the sample has been taken you will need to send it back using the prepaid, addressed envelope provided in the test

STEP 3 – GETTING RESULTS AND ONWARDS REFERRAL WHERE NECESSARY

Our laboratory will give a precise FIT result within 5 days.

  • If you have no symptoms and the FIT result is negative (i.e. falls below 10 micrograms of haemoglobin per gram of faeces) we will write to you advising you of a negative test result and that there is no current need for further investigations.

  • If you have no symptoms but your FIT test is positive one of our clinical specialists will consult with you. They will then either refer you back to your GP or privately on to an accredited bowel cancer screening specialist. 

  • If you have any concerning symptoms and your FIT test is positive one of our clinical specialists will consult with you and advise you of the need for further bowel investigation. In particular, they will refer you on to a nationally accredited bowel cancer screening specialist (an expert in colonoscopy who can also organise additional bowel tests) in your area.

  • if you have any ongoing symptoms and your FIT test is negative one of our clinical specialists will consult with you and advise on an appropriate course of action.
